ICANNWiki is a non-profit organization, independent of ICANN, supporting the collaborative development of articles about ICANN and Internet Governance. It currently features 8,934 entries.

ICANNWiki has two article categories as ICANN and Governance. The subtitles of ICANN category are DNS, Root Zone, Meetings, Community, Organization, Board, gTLDs, ccTLDs and IDNs. The subtitles of the other article category Governance are terminology, events and library.

ICANNWiki gathers pages about individuals, businesses, organizations, phrases, and subjects associated with ICANN and the domain name industry. For ICANN attendees and others who follow ICANN remotely, the wiki is a source of objective, third-party information about what is and has occurred in the community.

ICANNWiki was originally founded by Raymond King in 2005, with help from Brandon CS Sanders and John Stanton, with the belief that a public wiki could be of benefit to the greater ICANN community.  Raymond King is an American entrepreneur and co-founder of multiple companies including AboutUs.org and Top Level Design, as well as the ICANNWiki project.

The mission is of ICANNWiki is to present clear information, preserve history, and accommodate different perspectives, making specialized themes accessible to all. The editors, partners, and sponsors are the pillars that ensure that this unique Internet resource remains truly independent.
